Ascension – Greek Valerian, Jacob’s Ladder

Ascension – Greek Valerian, Jacob’s Ladder

(Polemonium reptans)

On a wall an inspiration, a sea of blue of different hues.Greek Valerian standing tall.

Greek Valerian

Blue bells singing soul,

a stairway to heaven,

aid for ascension,

a valerian resolve,

my path in contention.

Mask the writing on the wall,

violet sky like shades fall,

three months of bliss,

I will to take,

what lies behind is all fake.

First few steps, I met a Bee,

said, go forward, but pay the fee,

do three good deeds that sets you free,

for all mankind,

for birds, butterflies, you and me.

Then I met a furry fern,

a fluffy ruffle, round the turn,

said, go forward, but pay the price,

for all bad deeds,

over thrice,

’tis time to make the sacrifice.

At last I met the valerian blue,

said, go forward but take a cue,

don’t get lost in my hue,

let go of mortal collusion,

rise above the blinding illusion.

Karma not a zero sum,

heaven’s not behind the sun,

do live your life and have some fun,

always remember to climb when done,

the Bee, furry fern and Blue Bell are ‘One’.
